I’ll be there! I went last year as well. It’s crazy! When they release the schedule, plan out who you want to meet the most. At least last year, they had several (like 6-7) authors all signing at the same time. I literally was just waiting in lines for the first 4 hours because it was back to back. BUT it is a lot of fun! The panels are the best part and theres a lot of freebies. Hope you guys have fun!

        That would be awesome!

Also, yeah, I had to pick and choose who was the most important to me. It’s hard to explain how it works but I’ll try. Last year, every hour a new set of authors were out to sign books. So like at 10am they’d have Tahereh Mafi, Ransom Riggs, Victoria Aveyard etc etc. So you had one hour to wait in line for those authors. Then at 11am a new set of authors would come out so you’d just go right back to waiting in line if there were authors you wanted to meet during that hour. Does that make sense? So you should definitely wait in separate lines lol That’s what I did. I had the person I brought with me wait in a different line. THEN at the same time as signings were going on, there were panels. So I also had to decide what panels I wanted to go to lol

Oh, and the popular authors have HUGE lines so do those first. So like Marie Lu, Leigh Bardugo. I didn’t even bother trying to meet Veronica Roth because that line was INSANE. They couldn’t even get to everyone and asked people to come back the next day.

But I don’t know if they’re doing it like that this year since last year was the first year of the event. If they do, it’ll make more sense once the schedule comes out.

I’m really making this sound terrible but it was A LOT of fun. The panels are probably my favorite part. And yeah, they do some giveaways and some authors bring ARCs – last year Nicola Yoon was giving away Everything Everything.

Last year, I showed up probably an hour before it started. There was already a short line forming at the entrance and it was a little crazy to get the wristband and everything. Hopefully this year they have that part figured out and more organized. It was kind of a mess last year. But it kind of just depends if there is anything you want to do when it starts. I wanted to go a book signing that started an hour after it opened, so I waited in line for those. Or there was an opening keynote that I could have gone to, but I cared more about the signing. Otherwise, it all just depends on the schedule lol
