Falling into place by Amy Zhang : Thank you Yarravy for recommending me this book! Goodreads blurb: On the day Liz Emerson tries to die, they had reviewed Newton’s laws of motion in physics class. Then, after school, she put them into practice by running her Mercedes off the road.

The Daemoniac by Kat Ross : Thank you Kim for this recommendation omg this looks like so much fun. Following a serial killer in the streets of London just before Jack the Reaper starts his killings.

Obsidian and Stars : The sequel to ivory and Bone omgg which I have to start reading

Iron Cast by Destiny Soria: At night, on stage together, the two best friends, whose “afflicted” blood gives them the ability to create illusions through art, weave magic under the employ of Johnny Dervish, the club’s owner and a notorious gangster.

The Lonely Hearts Hotel by Heather O’Neill: MY MONTREAL AUTHOR CAME BACK WITH ANOTHER BOOK

Empire in Black and Gold – Thanks to Bookstooge for making me add this bad boy to my TBR. The war in this fantasy sounds absolutely epic.

Prince of Fools – After seeing Danielle and Drew go at it with their ARCs (one with a digital, the other with a signed paperback copy) of Mark Lawrence’s latest book, Red Sister, I just couldn’t help myself from adding every series this guy wrote to my TBR.

The Turn of the Screw – Anything that freaks out theorangutanlibrarian is a book that I’ll want to try out. Lolita is already on my TBR too. 😉

The New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract – DC is going to release their next animated movie based off of this storyarc and we all know DC’s animated movies are THE best out there. No competition. 😀

The Mists of Avalon – So… the recent episode of Legends of Tomorrow was based off of the whole King Arthur lore and I was just all nostalgic about the stories related to the man that I went on hunting for popular series based on King Arthur that I didn’t already have in my TBR. And voilà! Got to mention that this book is… really… thick though…

Lashaan: Okay, okay. February was a particular month for movies. I went through some of the most classic movies known to man! My Top 5 movies stars off with Back to the Future (1985) which will remain my favourite of the trilogy. Every scene in that movie was brilliant! I also watched Back to the Future Part II (1989) which was excellent! The whole paradox was amazing and how the idea of time-travelling was pushed even further in this one was AWESOME! Of course, I had to also watch the third installment, Back to the Future Part III! Can we take a moment to appreciate the Bat-train? 😀 I love the references in this movie so much. From De Niro’s “You talkin’ to me?” from Taxi Driver (1976) to Clint Eastwood, this was a great finale. I also watched Saving Private Ryan and man… this movie will never fail the test of time. Spielberg directed one of the most realistic war movies I’ve ever seen (will have to see Hacksaw Ridge (2016) to see if it’s a close second!). Finaly, a movie I actually saw in theaters, John Wick Chapter 2 (2017). THIS. MOVIE. IS. AMAZING. Since the day I’ve seen John Wick (2014), I was hooked to the idea and the beauty of this movie. Chapter 2 pushes the lore even further and the action scenes are even MORE brutal.

If you’ve seen any of these, feel free to mention it in the comment section. I’d love to fanboy with y’all! 😀

Trang:

COHERENCE- Amazing scifi movie ! I had a blast reading about coherence and decoherence in Dark Matter. This movie is an amazing retelling of what’s happening if the multiverse collides :O I would freak out too. Well, please watch it and ignore the 15 mins blablaing between friends endure it until the end. I promised it’s worth it.

JOHN WICK 2 : Just when I thought they can’t make the first movie any better.. THEY FRKN DID LOL. I just love this worldbuilding so much ! They take it to a whole new other level. Love the mix settings between New York and Montreal ( YEAH I RECOGNIZED MY CITY) SO PROUD HIH 😀

SPLIT: James McAvoy nailed his role as a multiple personality patient ! Just his performance is worth every penny in the movies LOL

Trang: WATCH IT FOR THE FIST BUMP LOL 😉

Omg, Lashaan you’re going to love (I hope) the Broken Empire series by Lawrence… that was the series , a few years back, that got me massively back into reading. Loved this trilogy so bad! 🙂 Enjoy!

John Wick 2- I cant bloody wait to see it. I loved the first one to bits and I’m so happy to hear the second one is mega. This makes me a happy camper, indeed!

And Split… to be honest- I’ve been wary of it… is it really creepy?

Oh maaaaaan, that just got me super excited to check it out ASAP! I only hear GREAT things about the Broken Empire series (well, actually, anything Mark Lawrence writes). But a series that gets someone to read again? That’s ALWAYS promising!

If you enjoyed John Wick, Chapter 2 is going to GREATLY satisfy you. It takes a different direction in how the story is told, but it was an excellent decision and proved to be ABSOLUTELY captivating. And the action scenes? Holy sh*t. Just when you thought things couldn’t get better. Leave it to Keanu Reeves to prove you wrong! Hope you enjoy it even more than I did! 😀

Great recap for this month. It seems like you both discovered some amazing books throughout February. I’ve seen some amazing reviews for Mark Lawrence’s books so I really need to add them to my to-read list as well, same with Ivory and Bone (and the sequel too).
I love the Back to the Future films, I thought all of them were good but the first one was the best in my opinion, also I really need to start Strange Things, I keep hearing so many amazing things about it!
Seems like you both had a great February, I hope you have a brilliant March as well! 😀

Thank you Beth! Mark Lawrence’s book really seem action-packed with lots of fun-fun-fun!! I can’t wait to try them out and hope you enjoy them whenever you get the chance! I agree, the first Back to the Future movie was definitely the best of the bunch! You totally have to give Stranger Things a shot. I don’t know ANYBODY who didn’t like that show. It is simply brilliant! I also hope your month of March will be filled with awesomeness! 😉

That’s all right, and I hope I enjoy them too but based on all the positive reviews I’ve seen I’m sure I will! 😀
Oh I’e heard plenty of amazing things about it, and it’s one of those shows I know I’ll love as soon as I start it, but I’m just so behind on TV shows I need to watch at the moment, have to catch up on those before I can get started on something new! 😀
        Thanks Lashaan. 🙂
