Top Spring Books 2017 | Science – Fiction

Hi guys ! 🙂

The survey from the last Top Spring Books came out and the winner category is… SCI-FI !! I know that Bookstoge is happy gahha. Here are the scifi books that I would want to read this spring 🙂

I noticed that a lot of them are sequels as well, so I’ll be posting about the 1st novel as well 😉 scifibanner
legionThe Stars are Legion  by Kameron Hurley

Zan wakes with no memory, prisoner of a people who say they are her family. She is told she is their salvation – the only person capable of boarding the Mokshi, a world-ship with the power to leave the Legion.

They also mentioned Hyperion and Dune in the description which was a big attraction to me 😀 And from a Hugo Award Winner author  too !

Six Wakes by Mur Lafferty

A space adventure set on a lone ship where the clones of a murdered crew must find their murderer — before they kill again.

It was not common to awaken in a cloning vat streaked with drying blood.

Murderer and Space Ship? YES. PLEASE. Six crew seem like a lot though… I hope the POV won’t be overwhelming.

American War by Omar El Akkad americanwar

An audacious and powerful debut novel: a second American Civil War, a devastating plague, and one family caught deep in the middle a story that asks what might happen if America were to turn its most devastating policies and deadly weapons upon itself.

I hesitated to put this one on the list because it’s not really sci-fi but it’s a dystopia so I said.. WTV. It looks interesting and maybe some people will find it intriguing too 🙂

The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi

The first novel of a new space-opera sequence set in an all-new universe by the Hugo Award-winning, New York Times-bestselling author of Redshirts and Old Man’s War.

Our universe is ruled by physics and faster than light travel is not possible — until the discovery of The Flow, an extra-dimensional field we can access at certain points in space-time that transport us to other worlds, around other stars.

She wakes up at the bottom of a square hole, its walls glowing with intricate carvings. But the firemen who come to save her peer down upon something even stranger: a little girl in the palm of a giant metal hand.

A Montreal Author woohoo 😀 ! Can’t wait to see how this sequel is going to be 😉

luna series

The Moon wants to kill you.

Maybe it will kill you when the per diem for your allotted food, water, and air runs out, just before you hit paydirt. Maybe it will kill you when you are trapped between the reigning corporations-the Five Dragons-in a foolish gamble against a futuristic feudal society.

That’s it for the top spring books today 😀 !
