TRANG’S GOODREADS 2017 READING CHALLENGE PROGRESSION
I didn’t have the chance to take a screenshot (since I’m on my phone) but I didn’t have much time to read with all my travels hehe 😀

LASHAAN
Lashaan: Unburden yourselves! 😉
TRANG
Trang : I started watching Mad Men a few months ago and this quote resonates with me so much! I love simple things but I always make sure it’s pertinent to my life and meaningful 🙂
LASHAAN’S LIFE
While I am not condemned to exotic weathers and presented with countless epic touristic locations to rejoice at as my co-blogger, the beginning of summer has been very kind with me! 😀 With the company of great books and a serene mind free from huge academic deadlines, you just can’t go wrong. I do have other research-related deadlines to keep in mind, but research is my life, and research is what I enjoy, so worries, I do not have! 🙂 Even with so much more time, I do feel like there are still so many books I want to go through before the end of 2017 (is it just me or are we already halfway through the year…) I’m definitely looking forward to June and all its wonderful gifts (like Wonder Woman!!!! HELL YES!!!!)
TRANG’S LIFE
Hahah like my co-blogger has said – I’ve been traveling non-stop since the end of May! This vacation was much needed because my work is also in research and if I don’t leave the country, it will follow me everywhere I go. As much as I enjoy it, I do like some vacation time 😉 I’ve been to Saigon for a day, then I flew to Singapore for 5 days, flew back to Saigon for 2 days then booked a last minute flight to Ha Noi. From there, I went to Bac Cang, where I had the chance to admire the beautiful sight of Ho Ba Bien (the picture below). Yes that’s a lot for now but I really enjoy this adventure life hehe ! My mom keeps complaining how I can’t stand still LOL

I’m going to see Wonder Woman tonight. Soo excited!

Oh gosh, when I read The Nightingale last year I ended up crying for a good 30 minutes when I got to the end – get the tissues ready! I’m so excited to go and see Wonder Woman!

Oh snap. I haven’t seen ANY negative reviews for this book, but the warning is very, very appreciated! This sounds like a book I’m going to really enjoy. 😛 Hope you enjoy Wonder Woman!! Saw it last night and it was phenomenal! Will have a review for that soon enough. 😀

WW is in theatres already? Man, these movies are coming out faster than I can process that they even exist…

You’ll be surprised by the number of movies coming out over the next months, superhero related. I mean.. Spider-Man is coming out in almost exactly 1 month. 😛

Enjoy your adventures, Trang. Hope to see more pictures 🙂
Lashaan: that is great that you love what you do. I am envious that you will have a lot of free time to relax and read!
Cheers,
Sophie

Thanks Sophie! Although I say I have more time than when I was in the middle of my semester, it still feels like time is short as hell! Life’s paradox.. But there’s always time for books right? 😀 😀

Can’t wait to see what you think of The Couple Next Door, my boyfriend bought it for me a while ago and I haven’t gotten around to it yet.

I’ll definitely let you know. I do have some high expectations for it with all the praise it had gotten in the past. 😛

Glad to see you guys are relaxed and having fun, while still being able to blog! I’m truly impressed by your time management skills hahaha
I hope you enjoy Wonder Woman, Lashaan! I have yet to see it but I’m really hoping it’s as good as some people say. Gal Gadot’s small role in Batman v Superman was badass! So I have high hopes for her own flick 🙂

I sometimes surprise myself with how I manage my time too. 😛 Time does fly when you’re enjoying what you’re doing though hahah. I’ll be releasing a review for Wonder Woman soon, but I can already tell you now that it is TOTALLY worth checking out. Gal Gadot is just BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING ❤ Best casting choice for Wonder Woman. Hope you get the opportunity to watch it yourself and enjoy it as much as I did! 😉

Oh I’m so looking forward to reading it! 😊 You make it sound super awesome and I can’t wait to see it (and her! I’m pretty sure she’ll be my new girl crush hahaha) 😍 The numbers don’t lie, though!
Thank you so much! I’m pretty sure I will!

The Mark Twain quote is resonating with me right now! (for reasons I will not divulge on your blog haha) but I really appreciate it! Both of you seem to be really enjoying your time. May has been good 🙂 I have The Nightingale and The Couple Next Door both on my list. Maybe this is a sign? Hmmm. May have to bump them up after I see some reviews. I hope you both have a wonderful June!

It’s good to know that my quote selection was timely. I thought it was genius and is definitely worth noting. Well, well, well. Seems like I might be about to screw around with your priority list during this month. I smell #revenge. 😀 😀 😀 Hope you have a wonderful month of June, Danielle! Glad to have you drop by!! ❤

Since its release, I’ve always associated it to being THE best historical fiction out there in a long time. I do hope it’s as good as everyone has made me it sound so far!

May I ask what field is your research in?

Oh Wonder Woman looks so amazing. Normally I’m not a fan of DC movies, I’m more of a Marvel fan, but Wonder Woman is going to have to be the exception to my rule because everyone is saying it’s amazing and I need to experience it for myself.
I really hope you enjoy Stormdancer Trang, that’s on my list because I’ve loved what I’ve read by Jay Kristoff so far. Also great quotes for this month, both of you.
I hope you have an amazing June! 😀

Since I’ve been on vacation, I haven’t. However, I’m starting to read another Gregg Hurwitz book, The Crime Writer.

Trang!!! How do you like 4321 so far??
I was reading it and had to DNF it for the time being because I’d borrowed it from the library and wouldn’t be able to complete it before returning it. I plan to continue with it next year when the paperback comes out cause the hardcover is way too fucking heavy OMG!
Lashaan!! Love that Mark Twain quote. I’m stealing it to add to my quotes page because it’s one of the mottos I live by.
Sounds like a pretty great vacation, Trang! And yeah, sometimes we do need to just get away.

So glad to hear you agree with the quote! I only just discovered that quote during May. 100% agree and stand with what Twain had to say. Got to say… I need to check out his classic books. Yeh… I have yet to read anything by this guy. Hope June is looking good for you. 😉

I read Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn in high school. I hated them both and haven’t returned to them since.
