Praising this book is not enough!! ❤ SO GOOD!

Lashaan

This is by far the best book I read this month! A classic by Agatha Christie and also my first book written by her. The ending alone deserves a hundred stars. ❤ Check out my review here.

LEAST FAVOURITE BOOK OF THE MONTH

Sorry to the fans but I completely destroyed this book in my review! It wasn’t for me T_T

It wasn’t a bad book, but it wasn’t extraordinary either. My review can shed some light on that.

BEST MOVIES/SHOWS OF THE MONTH

Thor: Ragnarok:   I just loved everything about this movie ! ❤ Made a whole post about it 😉

Lashaan

Justice League (2017) was an amazing movie that gave us our first live-action team of Gods. ❤ The movie got WAY more hate than it ever deserved. It is fine entertainment and I hope we’ll get to see more of them in the future.

The Punisher (TV Series 2017) was the first decent, even spectacular, look at Frank Castle as the Punisher. A spin-off series that takes place after Daredevil Season 2, you’ll get all the character exploration and violence that you want for this guy.

CURRENTLY READING

Trang

Lashaan

The Way of Kings is my first book written by the wildly famous Brandon Sanderson. I’ve been waiting for this moment for too long. So far, it… is.. AMAZING.

Finally reading a thriller after such a long time! The Good Daughter starts off crazy too!

TO BE READ

Trang

Lashaan

Magician: Apprentice is another classic fantasy series I’ve been looking forward to read since forever. I’m counting the days till I finally start this! 😀

I read Fiona Barton’s recent thriller The Child and just had to go back and visit her first book The Widow!

PERSONAL LIVES

Trang

SUPER Busy month! The last week of November was chaotic because I have so many deadlines for my research and school projects and assignments. Now onto December and it’s FINALS TIME T_T November was also the month of amazing blogging opportunities ! I also recently hit some PR (personal records) at the gym this month, squatting for 165lbs, benching for 75lbs and deadlifting 175lbs 😀 Kind of scary how my back and shoulders growing faster than I thought ! o.o

Probably one of the busiest month of the year, even blogging-wise! So much has been achieved, but I doubt it’ll be the last time it’ll be like this. 😀 The last month of the year is finally here and you just can’t help but wonder where the year went; sort of like… every year… December will also mark the beginning of a lot of deadlines, so here’s hoping that stress will remain at a minimum and life will be filled with surprises.

The good kind.

Wow you guys posted a lot of reviews! I’ve missed some so I need to go back and catch up. I agree, it’s hard to believe it’s already December. I’m sad because of all the 2017 books I just didn’t have time for:-( Oh well, 2018 is around the corner! Lashaan, I’ve never read Brandon Sanderson either so I look forward to your review of The Way of Kings:-)

    1. It was quite the month indeed! And with Trang’s reading speed, there’s no surprise with the number of reviews she put up hahah! 😛 Oh man, Tammy… I am saddened by that too. I made myself a shelf around mid-2017 with books I hoped on tackling before 2018 and I can proudly (not really) say that that shelf is still pretty full!!! 😦 So many awesome books I thought I might have time to check out, but it seems like I’m going to need a new strategy for 2018.. or some kind of superpower involving ultra light-speed reading speed! I can tell you now that my first experience with Brandon Sanderson was an immense success. I do hope you get the chance to try one of his books out. He is a God of epic fantasy that is not worth overlooking!!

I am rather excited to see that you are going to be reading the Hitchhiker’s Guide. I think I rated them all around the 3star mark, but just remembering having a load of fun reading them. The humor was right down my alley. I hope it’s not a miss for you.
As for gym goals, way to go! I assume it is too early to start calling you Jennifer Walters though?

    Lashaan:
Your first Sanderson. Ahhhh, that is great!
I’m also looking forward to what you think of Magician. I can’t objectively read it because I read it in my teen years and it has so many good things associated with it. So getting an outside, adult, view of it will be interesting. Even if you hate it 😀

    1. As you might have noticed, my first Sanderson was pretty successful. Looking forward to more of his stuff.
I actually had a funny-looking French copy of Magician: Apprentice but I don’t think my younger self managed to complete it. I was actually shocked that I even had it when I went back to look at what I had in my possession. I hear ya on the whole nostalgic and childhood factor. I’m definitely looking forward to that series. I’d tag it as a classic and look forward to it immensely.

    2. I heard people had some mix reviews about Hitchhiker’s Guide ! :O I’m waiting to see how the humour will play out in my head LOL Thank you so much!! It was a long time gym goal so I was so excited when I achieved them :’) HAH JENNIFER WALTERS would be an honor but no I don’t think I can reach her body anytime soon T_T

  10. Great recap for November both of you, and wow it seems like there was such a lot you did last month as well. Lashaan I completely agree with you about November being a really busy month of the year, already my December is lagging a little behind in terms of what I’m going to achieve. 🙂 Good luck with all of your deadlines though.
Also Trang I really really really hope you enjoy A Darker Shade of Magic, that’s like an all-time favourite book of mine so I can’t wait to see what you think of it. 😀 I also hop you enjoy Renegades as well.
Again great recap, and I hope you both have an amazing December as well. 🙂 ❤

      1. Exactly. I get paid in the middle of the month and this month it feels like it’s come around way too soon (normally I complain of the opposite!)

  15. I’m very curious as to what you will think of The Good Daughter.

Great job at the gym, I am now trying to get back to where I was before being laid up for over a year. Squatting a plate seems so very far away:( But to be honest I’m just happy to be back in the gym.

My month of November was really busy, participating in NaNoWriMo for the fifth year (as an ML, I also ran local events). I ended up writing 211,000 words in one month, which didn’t leave all that much mental energy to read too many blog posts.

    Liked by 1 person

    1. I still remember how busy NaNoWriMo had kept you last year. You couldn’t check out some of the movies/shows that came out around that time too. That is however an amazing accomplishment though! Hope you enjoyed your experience. 🙂

  17. So many books! That De Niro Gif you used for your Agatha Christie review is one of the best ways to describe the reaction you can have to some reads. I do wonder how many more samey books John Green can write before people get bored with them.

    1. I have the feeling that I’m going to have that reaction for a lot of her books too. Looking forward to trying them out soon. 😀 Thanks for stopping by!! 🙂

  19. You guys are the best! It was a fantastic month, but I have never seen less than fantastic on Bookidote 😉 I do not know how you manage it all and still accomplish so much in real life! ANIMALS! ROCKSTARS ❤

Very excited to see that both of your top reads of the month are in my pile for the upcoming year. But not surprised, since you are both the reason they are. Funny how that works 😉

    1. I don’t think we know ourselves how we do so much while being insanely busy in real life too. 😮 I guess when you love what you do, you just don’t realize how much you’re doing or how fast time goes by! 😀 Hahahah I hope you’ll enjoy them!!!! There’s nothing like knowing that some of the books you have on your TBR are potential 5 stars!! 😛 Have a wonderful month of December, Danielle. 😉

  20. Lashaan!!! Guess what?! I TOTALLY have read Magician: Apprentice!! Hahahhhha… I can’t wait to read your thoughts! It makes me super excited for this next month… And I need to check out Justice League, glad to hear you enjoyed it… 😉

TRANG! Those back muscles?! WOW! And I just read A Darker Shade of Magic and am dying to hear what you think!? And Nevernight is one I’m excited to read too… ♥️

Happy reading December… and I’m sure you guys will meet your deadlines and do well on your papers and tests and things!

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Awww ye! I’m not surprised that you read that classic though. Sounds like something that any author who loves/writes fantasy stories would have read at least once. 😛 And yep, Justice League is fun, but I think you’ll be able to spot a couple of flaws here and there though. I’d probably recommend the full unedited edition of the movie that they’re most likely to release on bluray/DVD though. Hate that the company cut scenes out and mess around with the director’s product… Happy reading to you too, Dani!!! 😉

  21. I just finished reading The Good Daughter. I am a reader of all of Karin Slaughter’s books and this is another excellent book from her. One of the reasons I haven’t been blogging– I’ve been reading, eating, working, reading, and reading. Oh, in addition to doing some living like going out too.

    1. No wonder!!! Something felt lacking about my blog hopping until I realized that you hadn’t written much lately. Honestly, I assumed you were travelling or something. 😮 Sounds like you were just hooked to another one of Slaughter’s book. 😉
