Fargo (2014—): I got around to complete the second season of Fargo and it continues to deliver fantastic television. The cast is completely different, but it ultimately delivers the same comedy-crime drama with some nice twists that challenges the very definition of a “true story”.
Jessica Jones (2015—) Season 2: You can find my review of this season here for more on my thoughts, but to summarize, it was a pretty good season that I however didn’t feel like it surpassed its first season. Its character development is still on point though!

PERSONAL LIVES

March? HECTIC MONTH. A lot of things have been going in my personal lives but let’s just say I sort out a lot of things in the end of the month and I’m happy to start April in a good mood. I haven’t been around the blogosphere much but I promise you guys I will be back on track pretty soon! 😀
Lashaan
March was manageable, but deadlines seemed to be on every corner. Kept myself pretty darn busy and time flew by quickly. But April is definitely going to be worse of it all. It’s the final month for writing my thesis and when May 1st sees the light, I’m going to be released of all the chains of stress!!! I’m going to be a free man!!!! But first I need to go through Hell.
Thank you all for checking out our monthly wrap-up and don’t forget to check out any posts that might interest you and that you might have missed out on!
So what’s going on with y’all? What have you discovered this month? What are your thoughts on the books/TV shows/movies we’ve mentioned?
Yours truly,

Thanks Nicki! I’m almost done with it and really curious to see how it all ends. I do hope it merits all the praise it got.

Great Wrap up! I loved Obsidio! It’s a great conclusion to the series. I’m currently reading Ready Player One and so far, I’m loving it. Despite hectic month, you guys still manage to blog and that is pretty impressive. I hope you both have a wonderful April! 🙂

Thanks Raven! So glad to hear that you’re enjoying RPO! It really is a fun book to read. I’m glad to have picked it up myself. 😀 Have an awesome month of April! 😉

Lashaan, you have to finish up your thesis and you think you can squeeze in the Black Prism? Are you mad?!? BP was a slow start for me and it wasn’t until the 15-20% mark that things took off, so be aware. And best of luck!
Trang, I am definitely looking forward to a review of Red Sister from you. I’ve read several reviews over the last year or two that made me think it might finally be a Lawrence book for me. But your reviews are always presenting things in just that “slightly off” way that sheds a whole different light on things, so I’m hoping I still want to read this trilogy when your review is done 😀

I do like a good challenge after all. 🙂 Thanks for the heads up though. It does look pretty big from the outside, hopefully things are truly epic in the inside and gets me to blow through the whole thing fairly quickly. 😀 Thanks man.

LOL thank you Bookstooge !! I’m excited to review it too ! A lot of bloggers rave about it so I’m sure it will be an interesting read. However, yeah my reviews tend to be pretty unpredictable HAH let’s see how it will be 🧐

I can’t wait to hear what you think of The Wife Between us, Lashaan! I thought that one was worth the hype (though I feel like I read it kind of earlier than most and before it got super-hyped). Happy April, friends!

That must be a pretty interesting feeling. To read something before you realize it’s a super popular thriller. 😮 I do hope the twists are going to be extraordinary by the end of this ride! Have a fantastic April, Stephanie! 😀

We absolutely loved the first season of ‘Fargo’ but after 2 episodes of season 2 we didn’t really like the new characters and stopped watching. Now I wonder whether we should have given it some more time.. Did you like it from the start or did you need some more time to get pulled in?
I want to listen to ‘Down among the Sticks and Bones’ soon 🙂 Loved the first one!

Yooooooo, I felt the exact same way about season 2. The first couple of episodes had me wondering what the hell happened and why am I still watching it hahah I found that it was much more rewarding by the end, but I definitely don’t think season 2 was better or even equal to season 1. Season 1 was just too glorious and beautiful.

I too am super curious to see how this ends. I do hope it blows my mind cause.. it’s been a while since a thriller really had me amazed. Thanks Inge! Hope April proves to be awesome for you too! Happy reading! 🙂

Now I’m not so sure… I thought the biggest and best twist was the one in the beginning, which you must have passed by now.. although I did find the whole book entertaining, even without any more major shocking twists..

Great recap, and it seems like you both had a good month as well! Obsidio made my favourite book of the month too Trang (I couldn’t have asked for a better ending), and I need to get around to Ready Player One someday (before I see the film at least) so maybe when i do it will make my book of the month as well. 🙂
Hopefully April will be a good month for you, and good luck with your thesis as well Lashaan, I’m sure the deadline will be here sooner than you think (that’s how my deadlines always seemed to be)! 😀

Thank you Beth! You definitely need to get around to reading RPO. It’s a lot of fun, and such a vivid and beautiful experience. And the movie will probably go a wonderful job in trying to recreate that world too! And yes! You’re totally right. I need to be aware of how fast it’ll go. Thanks again, and I hope you have a wonderful month of April yourself! 😉

That’s all right, I haven’t heard much about the movie but it’s only been released so I guess a lot of reviews haven’t come in just yet. 🙂
I feel like April as a whole will be over before we know it.
Thanks! 🙂 ❤️

I watched the most random Netflix shows, but still haven’t gotten around to S2 of Jessica Jones. I don’t know why, but it’s just sort of a mood thing for now. Sometimes the Marvel shows take me a bit.

Pretty sure you’ve watched the most shows anyone could have seen on Netflix so far hahahah I hope that you do get around to watching JJ S2 before getting accidentally spoiled somehow though.

Hahaha I do watch a lot of Netflix. I just have no system to what I watch and when I do it haha I am, however, very good at avoiding spoilers.

You both seem to have so much going on ❤ I am amazed with how you continue to pump out the fantastic reviews and posts with it all. I feel like I am constantly drowning haha. I am sorry The Creeps did not pan out for you Trang. I enjoyed it, but I think my expectations were a bit different which helped. Good luck with April Lashaan. Sounds like it will be busy. Hope you both have a fabulous month ❤
