Uh yuck. I just couldn’t get behind the art at all. And inconsistent art too? No, no, no. I find underwhelming reads hard to review. They aren’t bad stories and if I’ve been slumping at least they keep me reading.
Hahahahah I can imagine you reacting to the artwork for these. I was sort disgusted by the new artwork too, wishing it wouldn’t be like this the whole arc, and thankfully it wasn’t hahah
Hm, interesting and well-thought out review my good man! It’s always a shame when the art is messed up on a title by having someone take over from the regular artist as a fill-in (we’re all too accustomed to that with DC’s twice-monthly books) – and if there’s a noticeable decline in the visuals, then that always takes me out of the story, which from the sounds of it doesn’t quite hold together anyway.
Exactly. I feel like DC has done a fantastic job in getting us used to the change in artists. I wish they could snap out of this illusion and understand that fans prefer consistency in their story arcs over constant change! Thanks for reading, Chris. Really appreciate it!
Sounds very interesting. Your review is superb, Lashaan.

I’d prefer it if the illustrations were consistent.

Thanks, I appreciate it a lot. If only I could say such nice things about the story arc too. 😦
