For the past few years, I have had my shares of social media platforms and while I understand the need of several platforms, I still think it is better to focus on one main social media platform above all the others. Simply because, you will end up prioritizing one platform no matter what you do. But the most important question is, which one should you prioritizing on?
If you are a business and you want to start targeting a specific audience, I think Facebook is one of the best ways. You have Facebook groups for specific niches where you can share the posts but also the Facebook Ads allow you to target specific range of people, by location and age. Facebook is also a good way of managing fan specific Pages. For example, book bloggers who want to share book memes, it’s usually via Facebook.
I feel like of all the social media platforms, WordPress is the most user friendly for writing blog posts. If you are more into sharing your thoughts in details, and you want a community of bloggers who share the same types of lengthy posts, it’s the perfect place.
In my opinion, WordPress is also the one platform that I have difficulty keeping track of comments and gathering more interest. Because WordPress is very exclusive to the WordPress community, it doesn’t allow much of the people who are not connected nor have an account an easy access to your website.
By far my favourite social media platform. Obviously I love photography and the aesthetics of a photo composition, but what’s great with Instagram is that it has all the tools inside the app to make sharing my pictures and my videos easier. I would recommend Instagram if you want to start having a nice feed with a theme and blogging about your life. I know a lot of book bloggers use it, as well as fashion and food. It’s very simple really, if you like posting pictures then it is Instagram 100%. Also with the hashtags and geo-location tags, any users can find you easily. With 1 billion users active monthly, you can be sure that people will find you.
