When I was young I always loved those quizzes in magazines where you find out, which kind of personality you are and I wondered why there were no bookworm quizzes haha. So I wanted to create my own, just a little fun post 😉

Oliver Sacks’s luminous memoir charts the growth of a mind. Born in 1933 into a family of formidably intelligent London Jews, he discovered the wonders of the physical sciences early from his parents and their flock of brilliant siblings, most notably “Uncle Tungsten” (real name, Dave), who “manufactured lightbulbs with filaments of fine tungsten wire.
2. LITERATURE

The classic dystopian novel of a post-literate future, Fahrenheit 451 stands alongside Orwell’s 1984 and Huxley’s Brave New World as a prophetic account of Western civilization’s enslavement by the media, drugs and conformity.

Funny, unexpected, horrifying, and altogether convincing, The Handmaid’s Tale is at once scathing satire, dire warning, and tour de force.
5.BIOLOGY
The group is made up of four women: an anthropologist; a surveyor; a psychologist, the de facto leader; and our narrator, a biologist. Their mission is to map the terrain, record all observations of their surroundings and of one another, and, above all, avoid being contaminated by Area X itself.

9.GRAPHIC DESIGN

Everyone knows that a picture tells a thousand words. But what about the elements that make up a picture? Using the tale of Little Red Riding Hood as an example, Molly Bang uses boldly graphic artwork to explain how images — and their individual components — work to tell a story that engages the emotions: Why are diagonals dramatic? Why are curves calming? Why does red feel hot and blue feel cold?
10.PSYCHOLOGY

With her razor-sharp writing and trademark psychological insight, Gillian Flynn delivers a fast-paced, devilishly dark, and ingeniously plotted thriller that confirms her status as one of the hottest writers around.
Hope you enjoyed this little break of book reviews for a bookish post 😀 Let me know in the comments, what other books you would associate with other majors and I might be doing a part 2! -Trang
Lol, I liked this. I am Fahrenheit, which is funny because I’ve been teaching Ray Bradbury for years, and I am always saying it is time to replace him as the “only” science fiction writer taught in public school. LOL

There are a lot of good science fiction writers. A lot of women writing in this genre now. I think they are better writers by far. 🧡

Hahah!! There are indeed great sci-fi writers now especially happy to see more women owning the genre ! I still have a weakness for Ray Bradbury 😂Which author would you recommend?🥰

Karin Tidbeck, Octavia Butler, Ann Leckie to start! There are so many amazing women writers and they often do not get the recognition they deserve. Ray Bradbury is a great writer, don’t get me wrong, but he is out of date. I am just cynical because in education they only ted to revere the old, white guys. lol 😍
